Our steel journey began in 2000 with the establishment of Ji Kang Dimensi Sdn Bhd, a joint venture with China’s Ji Kang Group that marked the launch of Malaysia’s first wide steel plate plant in Kuantan, Pahang, with an annual production capacity of up to 700,000 metric tonnes.
In 2010, we strengthened our presence by acquiring a major stake in Hiap Teck Venture Berhad (HTVB). Through HTVB’s partnership with China’s Jianlong Group, we jointly operate Eastern Steel Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s first integrated steel mill with blast furnace capabilities. Located in Kemaman, Terengganu, this RM9 billion facility produces slabs, billets, and, as of 2024, hot-rolled coils.

TSLAW Group is committed to unlocking the value of natural resources through
strategic investments in mining and quarrying. With a focus on sustainable growth, the Group has invested in Australia’s resource sector and is actively exploring opportunities in Malaysia and China.
